The faithfullness of God

When I'm far away and not listening for your voice, you elbow your way to the front of the line of concerns I have in my life. And you are, faithful. When the good things come & they always do, eventually. You are there to support the truth that you are establishing in this life that you are living through. When the days grow cold, and light is limited and revelation of your great love is scarce because your people are not desirous of you, you are there, long suffering, longing, merciful. When days of darkness are upon man and the hope of change is twisted & veils of deceit cover a nations eyes, and all manner of faith is adulterated & transformed into strange fire. You are there, patient & quietly beckoning to your sons, "Know me". For all the moments I waste, on that which is not eternal, you are forgiving. For you know the plans that you have for me, plans to prosper me in you, plans to kill and resurrect, plans that you are gently, continually, pushing to the forefront in your sons. Great is your mercy! Great is your love! Great is your patience. For you are Truth, and will complete that Good work that you have begun. You, just are. I raise my voice to the heavens, "Father! Help me!" You are present. To Know you, is to love. To see you, is revelation. To hear you, is to desire. Your well is deep, and your water gives life. You sustain me & cause me to persevere. You hold up my arms & the battle turns to favor. You lift up my head and my tears are turned to thanksgiving. For ALL that you are, my heart cries joyfully that, you are.
