Our country, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, has become a nation full of hopelessness. Hopelessness, that nothing is ever going to change, hopelessness that all we can do is sit down, strap in & hang on for dear LIFE. This almost 235 year old country is spiraling downward, morally, spiritually, politically & economically. I see no end in sight, except for the destruction of a once Great Land of Freedoms unparalleled in the history of the world.
The Dark Shadow
My son, Joshua, recently had an amazing dream.
His heart is sorrowed over what is happening in this nation of ours. He wants the people of this Great Nation to wake up and smell the coffee before it's too late. And, HE, wants to make a difference.
In his dream he scaled a high garden wall into a city that lay in destruction. Before him was a bronze statue with a chariot & four horses rared up on their hide legs, driven by an armor clad soldier. As he approached the statue, he observed that it sat on the edge of a cliff, and beyond the cliff in a depressed area of ground lay an arena in ruins, with an American flag flying on the opposite side. As he walked, a shadowy figure walked with him, never speaking, never offering input. Just a shadowy presence that walked, by his side, hand in hand. There is so much more to this 'Dream' than meets the eye.
Long story short-
As a nation we are headed down an unknown path where many traps have been laid by our enemies in their efforts to destroy us. WE are our own worst enemy. Our fore father's are probably dizzy (if this were possible to do being dead and all) from rolling over in their graves. I don't believe that the state of our nation is what they intended. I believe that they would be horrified to see what we have become. It saddens and even horrifies me at times!
Somewhere along the line we became a nation of complacent followers. We followed left, we followed right or somewhere in between, never really thinking for ourselves. We have been tossed about like a ship without a rudder. We tagged ourselves as democrats or republicans, some even as Green or liberal, conservative, communist, socialist, there are too many to mention. Christian, was once a good thing in this land of One Nation Under God, not anymore. Even the label Christian brings to mind elements that cause us to question, "Is that REALLY Christlike?" Even non-Christians question it. It's pretty telling when the non-Christian stands up more frequently and LOUDER than the Judeo-Christian. We remember the likes of Jerry Falwell, the TV preachers with public scandal involving sex & greed, the priest pedophiles...the list goes on and on. We EVEN saw the president of the United States publicly declare to the American people, "I did not have sex with that woman!" And, we ALL knew that he was lying and WE ALL considered fellatio, sex!
Back to the Dream
My son recalls walking through a maze like garden with tall hedges, the kind that we see in the Victorian era movies, not being able to see beyond the next turn, or even over the top. The UNKNOWN at every turn. But, he made it through the maze to a gate beyond an arched wall entrance with two spears, one on either side and beyond the gate to a wall where his friend Joe and his sister, Jeannie were waiting. He beckoned them to go with him, back toward the Great City that lay in ruins. Joe and Jeannie wanted to go, but they wanted to go through the garden maze & Joshua refused. They commented to him that he had just successfully come through the garden, why couldn't they? Joshua, was going on intuition. Just because he had made it through the garden without incident, didn't mean that they were safe to go that way again. It was the grace of God that brought him safely to the gate in the dream, but to return that way, there were no guarantees, danger lay ahead and he knew it.
Joshua, convinced the two that they must take a route through a bombed out building. As they walked through the bombed out building together hand in hand, Joshua, the shadowy figure, Joe and Jeannie, they saw that the building no longer had a roof and had large holes in the floor of this building. Joshua warned his companions to stay away from the holes, for they were bottomless pits, a type of abyss. They navigated carefully through the bombed out building avoiding the large holes but then the ground beneath the shadowy figure gave way and the shadowy figure disappeared beneath the floor, out of view, never to be seen again. The remaining three continued through the building, safely arriving on the other side. There they stood together over looking the arena in ruins, once again to the American flag on the other side.
The Conclusion
Joshua recalls waking up in a cold sweat from this 'dream', knowing that it was more than just a dream. It was a message of some sort, something to ponder in his heart, something to share and seek the meaning of. The Source, he believes to be divine.
I started this blog with the title 'The Suicide' EVEN before I knew what it was about. I just started typing away, then inspiration came. I thought about changing the name, but then decided to leave it alone and not second guess myself. Those second guess choices can sometimes be disastrous. So. Here it is. What do you see? What SHOULD the title be?
